Every year the Research Computing Center hosts more than twenty events in the Kathleen A. Zar Room as well as other spaces on the UChicago campus, including the Walk-In Lab in Regenstein 122.

Recurring series include our speaker series, such as Show and Tell and Collaborations in Computation, and our how-to workshops for UChicago faculty, students, and staff on a variety of computing topics. We also host special vendor workshops.  In June (26-30), 2017, RCC hosted the Scaling to Petascale Institute with the goal of preparing participants to scale simulations and data analytics programs to petascale-class computing systems.  The RCC also hosted a two-day software carpentry workshop to teach basic research computing skills that include program design, version control, data management, and task automation. On August, 3, 2017, RCC is hosting an Intel-Colfax workshop on "High-Performance Computing and Data Analytics"  Use the left-hand navigation to discover more.
