Every year the Research Computing Center hosts more than twenty events in the Kathleen A. Zar Room as well as other spaces on the UChicago campus, including the Walk-In Lab in Regenstein 122.

Recurring series include our speaker series, such as Show and Tell and Collaborations in Computation, and our how-to workshops for UChicago faculty, students, and staff on a variety of computing topics. We also host special vendor workshops and the VSCSE Data-Intensive Summer School. In April 22, 2017, RCC is hosting a visualization hackathon. The RCC is hosting its third annual research computing symposium and exposition, Mind Bytes 2017 on May 2nd, 2017 in Ida Noyes Hall on the University of Chicago campus.
