The Research Computing Center’s (RCC) computational scientists provide one-on-one consulting and technical user support in the areas of scripting, code porting, optimization, parallelization, and more. User support is available by e-mail, over the phone at 773.795.COMP (2667), in our walk-in lab located in Suite 216 on the second floor of the Regenstein Library between 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, or by filling out the form below.  You may also consult RCC's online User Guide.

The RCC walk-in lab is open to the university community for in-person consultation and support to researchers. The lab has several Linux workstations available for researchers to access the RCC software and computing resources.

The RCC also provides visualization consulting for researchers. Please refer to the visualization page for more details, and contact us to find out more.

If the needs of your project or group exceed what can be reasonably provided by the RCC’s in-person consultations, you may benefit from the Consultant Partnership Program.

Please include as much specific detail as possible, such as the cluster(s) you are using, the PI account(s) you are using for the computing allocation, the error messages you are getting, the modules you loaded, or the steps and commands to reproduce the issues. If you would like to attach files, you can send an email to help@rcc.uchicago.edu. The specific details will help us respond to your support needs more efficiently.
