About RCC

The Research Computing Center (RCC) is dedicated to providing the University of Chicago community a full-service high-performance computing (HPC) center, including visualization resources, access to software, workshops, one-on-one consulting with domain experts, and complete data-management strategies to researchers across all departments and divisions.

Faculty Education Advisory Committee

The Faculty Education Advisory Committee, which reviews the RCC’s education services and programs, monitors the impact of the RCC non-credit courses and training activities; contributes to providing an assessment of the present needs.

Brain Awareness Day

Brain Awareness Day is an event where the latest, and most fascinating, brain research is demonstrated to specially invited students of schools neighboring the University of Chicago. The event allows the students to participate in a hands-on, engaging, and fun learning environment where they can ask questions of experts in the field and partake in interactive, exciting, and innovative activities.

Resource Allocation Advisory Committee

The charge of the Research Computing Center Resource Allocation Advisory Committee is to promote the Research Computing Center and advise it on the allocation of computing resources and services that will support research and scholarship at the University of Chicago.
