Mind Bytes 2025 Visualization Challenge, Poster Competition, and Registration Open!
Mind Bytes is a celebration of scholarship and research computing. It is a unique event that brings together faculty, staff, and students from every corner of the University who share an interest in high-end computing, data, scientific visualization, and the use of computation and data to advance what is considered state of the art in their fields. This year there is both a Poster Competition and a Visualization Challenge
Mind Bytes 2025 will be at Ida Noyes Hall, 1212 E 59th St, Chicago, IL 60637, on April 23rd, 2025 starting at noon.
Tentative program:
12-1pm: Lunch, Poster Competition viewing, demos, and research highlights, including the Visualization Challenge winners
1-1:15pm: Welcome & opening remarks
1:15-2pm: Keynote address by Joseph Olive (DARPA Program Manager of the Global Autonomous Language Exploration (GALE) program)
2-3pm: Faculty Lightning Talks
3-3:20pm: Break
3:20-4:10: Fireside chat: Perspectives on the opportunities, challenges, and future of AI from leaders in Business, Law, and Public Policy
4:10-4:25pm: Closing remarks & awards
