The Research Computing Center regularly collaborates with principal investigators for their grant proposals, providing section inputs on the aims, methods, and scheduling needs for software development, hardware acquisition, database schema design, and more. We work on grant projects throughout the University of Chicago to meet the necessary proposal review needs, application requirements, and deadlines. The Research Computing Center (RCC) accommodates principal investigator requests for Facilities and Resource documents to support their grants.
The Research Computing Center provides hardware technical descriptions, pricing, and timelines for the acquisition and management of research computing hardware. We team with leading industry partners like Intel and Lenovo to obtain the best possible pricing for our University team members.
The Research Computing Center is happy to write a letter of support for your grant to guarantee the availability of hosting facilities, computer hardware, storage, system administration, or computational scientist time. Given the time, we can also interview PIs to provide personalized content verifying their credentials as a grant applicant. To obtain a support letter for your grant, please submit a request here.

The Research Computing Center supports faculty labs and groups in over twelve divisions across the University of Chicago from the Humanities to the Biological Sciences to the recently established Institute for Molecular Engineering.
