The Research Computing Center (RCC) uses service units (SUs) to manage computational processing consumptions for all group accounts and users on its shared HPC system.
An SU corresponds to one basic CPU core per hour. SUs are the virtual currency that users spend for their jobs to run. At the RCC, SUs are allocated to the PI group, not the individual users within the group.
