Data Visualization Laboratory
Located in the John Crerar Library's Kathleen A. Zar Room
RCC, in partnership with the University of Chicago Library, has developed a Data Visualization Laboratory in the Kathleen A. Zar Room. The room is currently equipped with two projector systems, one for 2D and one for passive stereoscopic 3D. Also provided are high quality tools for analysis of research data, large screen visualization, education, and interactive and remote visualization in the context of supporting research on campus.
In addition to the substantial compute resources and storage array located directly in the room, the workstations are connected to the RCC compute cluster and storage, providing straightforward access to research data and introducing the possibility of interactive supercomputing.
